LITHGOW High School staged the last of their presentation days with the Year 7 and Year 8 awards ceremony.
Once again it was a very successful morning.
Parents, grandparents and friends were all extremely proud of the high standard of recipients that took out a wide array of prestigious awards.
Christopher Seymour played a Chopin Nocturne piano solo performance while Kaitlyn Trounce, Amy Muir and Danielle Roberts sung a beautiful song, Let her Go, by Passenger.
The many awards included academic, sporting, cultural and various other encouragement awards and it was an exceptional morning recognising the outstanding efforts students have achieved during this year.
The recipients and their awards are:
The LJ Hooker award for Academic Excellence: Emma Cross Year 7 and Amy Muir Year 8. Both these girls are exceptional recipients of this award.
Amy and Emma have worked extremely hard to place them in the overall highest ranked student of their years.
Centennial Coal Consistent Endeavour award: Ashton Arnott-Webb and Hayley Robson Year 7 and Samuel Gray and Ayla Shaw Year 8.
Year Advisers Mr Dunn and Mrs Alexander congratulated these dedicated students.
Their consistent hard work and classroom performances have been rewarded with this recognition.
Principal’s Medallion: Leon Geldenhuys and Alannah Stoneley-Sykakis Year 7 and Kaitlyn Trounce and Hannah Smith Year 8.
Delta Electricity Annual Award for School Citizenship: Chloe Anlezark and Zac Arkley-Smith Year 7 and Bree Anlezark and Samuel Gray Year 8.
P and C Encouragement Award is an award which recognises consistent effort: Ben Weller Year 7 and Bree Anlezark and Kiara McDonald Year 8.
AP Diehm Award (an annual award donated by the Mahoney family in memory of their uncle, an RAAF pilot, and their father who always spoke well of the start that Lithgow High School gave him, an award recognising outstanding school citizenship: Finnian Galloway Year 7.
Lithgow Theatre Group Award for Excellence in Drama: Eli George Year 8.
Lithgow Lions Club Award for Excellence in Performing Arts: Amy Muir Year 8.
